Congratulations to our graduates!

Students finishing their courses from across the Cheshire campus gathered at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester city centre on Friday 21st July to celebrate their graduation.

Hundreds of students attended graduation which was divided into two ceremonies: Exercise and Sport Science and Business and Management in the morning and Interdisciplinary Studies and Contemporary Arts in the afternoon.

Graduates were also invited to a post-graduation drinks reception where special awards were given out and BA (Hons) Popular Music alumni Jack Patchett performed an acoustic set.

Jack, who was shortlisted for the prestigious award of BBC Young Folk Musician of the Year in 2016, said "It was an absolute pleasure to be playing at the Manchester Met graduation reception again this year. Congratulations to everyone graduating!"

In addition to the official graduation photographs taken at the nearby Midland hotel, professional pictures were taken of graduating students with their friends and families before and after the ceremony. A range of department awards were presented by senior university staff celebrating outstanding achievement. The winners in each department were:
