If you’re looking for a friendly community in a campus setting and relaxed surroundings away from the city, you won’t need to look further than MMU Cheshire. Approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of Manchester city centre, we offer a strong sense of community and easy access to nearby towns and the surrounding countryside.
Excellence
Renowned for the excellence of our educational, performance and sporting programmes. The MMU Cheshire Faculty offers a wide range of diploma, degree, postgraduate and professional subjects on a full and part-time basis provided by our academic departments. The Sport Development Unit also has a portfolio of short sport based courses on offer.
MMU Cheshire campus is based in Crewe.
Crewe is a thriving town with theatres, cinemas, and lively pubs and bars and the campus is within easy walking distance of Crewe railway station.
There are excellent facilities at our MMU Cheshire campus, including brand new purpose-built and superbly equipped performance studios and state-of-the-art student accommodation with restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The Axis Arts Centre offers a public programme of touring new performance and visual art work. The Students’ Union has a strong presence, and there is a range of great sporting facilities on campus or nearby.
Whilst the campus is large enough to provide an impressive range of facilities, it is also sufficiently compact to ensure a close, friendly community atmosphere.
Cheshire and its surrounding area offers everything from shopping, trendy cafés and bars to heritage gardens and houses. For those interested in the outdoors the mountains of North Wales and the Peak District are easily accessible.
